As part of its international expansion our client is looking for a sales executive / manager with extensive experience of the banking   and finance industry in France, to further expand this market. You will open   up new business opportunities using your existing network and your talent for acquiring new clients. You will be based in their Paris office and   be part of the Western & Southern Europe division.

The responsibilities

  •   Establish contact with   potential customers in France and expand your large contact network within   the financial industry there
  •   Assist in the development of French market   strategy and contribute to the successful growth in that market
  •   Reach sales targets by   initiating and managing sales projects till the conclusion of contracts with   new clients:
    •   Acquire and assess sales opportunities   , including identification and analysis of buying centre members
    •   Implement a successful sales   strategy for designated sales projects and define business cases for   customers
    •   Coordinate and organise   meetings with customers; prepare and hold presentations and workshops
    •   Coordinate the activity of   various stakeholders (e.g. implementation, service and software partners) in   sales projects
    •   Prepare offers and answer   “requests for information”/ “requests for proposal”
    •   Manage contract negotiations
    •   Adapt Our Client’s marketing   and sales instruments for the French market
  •   Represent our client at   banking IT exhibitions and participate in other sales & marketing

Your profile

You are business-minded, target-driven and   ambitious in your sales approach and are highly skilled at establishing and   maintaining existing and new customer relationships. You should be outgoing,   a good listener, with a positive and service-minded attitude and extensive   experience in banking sectors for France. You have experience in working   independently in an international environment. You must be mature, confident   and have an assertive sales approach with a proven track record in managing   complex sales projects and closing large deals.
  •   University degree (or   equivalent) in finance or economics
  • Several years of proven sales experience   working for a financial technology vendor selling highly complex software solutions   to the financial industry
  • A thorough knowledge of the French   banking and financial industry and related processes
  • An extensive network of contacts   in French finance industry
  • A demonstrated ability to   articulate the technical features, competitive advantages and business   benefits of a banking product
  •   Ability to develop and build relationships at multiple levels   (including ‘C-level’), across multiple functions of an organisation
  •   Talented negotiator and good at closing deals
  •   Trustworthy, a good communicator, with a reassuring, convincing   manner
  •   Results-driven and committed to reach targets
  •   Bilingual in English and French; other languages are a distinct   advantage (e.g. Dutch and German)
  •   Willing to travel frequently
